Health officials: Indiana virus cases increase by 6,558
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Another 6,558 Indiana residents have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.
Confirmed deaths due to the virus increased by 53 over the previous day, the Indiana Department of Health said Sunday in a daily update.
Another 334 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.
More than 464,300 people in the state have tested positive for the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. Health officials said Sunday that 7,070 Indiana residents are confirmed to have died due to the virus.
