Quick hit: These programs meet for the first time as members of the Kishwaukee River Conference. Woodstock North needs a win to become playoff eligible for the third time since the varsity began play in 2009-10. Central notched its first win last week against Woodstock behind 123 yards and 2 touchdowns from senior running back Dionte Pierre.
Morris (4-2, 1-1) at Kaneland (3-3, 1-2)
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday
Quick hit: It isn't a must-win for Kaneland but it's close. To become playoff eligible the Knights need to win either this week at home or next week at Geneseo (4-2) and win in Week 9 against Ottawa (1-5). The offense seeks to rebound after gaining just 181 total yards in a 19-0 loss against Sycamore last Friday.
Westminster Christian (4-2, 4-2) at Hiawatha (4-2, 4-2)
When: 7 p.m. Friday
Quick hit: Westminster Christian can become playoff eligible for the second straight season with a win. The Warriors score more points (32.5) than the Hawks (27.7), but Hiawatha gives up 19.1 points per game compared to Westminster's 25.1-point average. Westminster senior receiver Scott Graziano leads the Fox Valley area in touchdowns (14) and points scored (96).
