Passenger killed, three others injured in Sugar Grove crash
Sugar Grove police continue to investigate a two-vehicle crash Friday evening that killed one person and left three others injured.
According to police, the crash occurred about 6:25 p.m. Friday when a 2019 Ford Fusion traveling northbound on Route 47 collided with a southbound 2012 Chevrolet Cruze at the intersection with Cross Street.
A 76-year-old Montgomery woman who was the front-seat passenger in the Fusion was taken from the scene to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. The car's 78-year-old driver and a rear-seat passenger also were taken to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, according to police.
A 22-year-old Batavia resident driving the Cruze also suffered nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
No tickets have been issued so far.
