Batavia

• Tanner J. Smith, 25, of the 700 block of North Van Buren Street, Batavia, was arrested and charged with two counts of misdemeanor domestic battery and resisting arrest after authorities were called at 2:52 a.m. Thursday to his residence, according to police.

• A $399 laser level was reported stolen at 2 p.m. Thursday from a business on the 300 block of North Randall Road.

Kane County.

• Four trimmers with a combined estimated value of $1,335 were reported stolen Wednesday from a trailer on the 12N700 block of Barr Road near Hampshire.

• Impact hammers, wrenches, chargers and other tools valued at $2,450 were stolen between Feb. 19 and March 19 from an unlocked barn on the 10N0-99 block of Chapman Road near Hampshire.

• A resident of the 42W400 block of Keslinger Road near Elburn reported a theft of $2,000 from the residence between 1:30 p.m. March 23 and 8:30 a.m. March 24.

• Andrew J. Rooker, 29, of the 200 block of McMillin Court, Cortland, was arrested and charged with DUI, driving while license suspended and failure to reduce speed after a crash at 10:41 a.m. Wednesday on the 45W700 block of Plank Road in Burlington Township. Rooker is accused of rear-ending a pick up truck, causing his minivan to flip over and crash into a second parked truck, the report said.
