Section of Gilmer Road near Mundelein to close Nov. 1

Gilmer Road from Fairfield Road to Fremont Center Road near Mundelein will close to through traffic for nine days starting at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1.

The closure is needed to replace a culvert west of Fremont Center Road, according to the Lake County Division of Transportation.

Gilmer is scheduled to reopen late afternoon on Wednesday, Nov. 10.

The detour is Fairfield Road to Route 176. Local traffic will have access on Fairfield Road to the work zone and access from Fremont Center Road to the work zone.
