Stand together against a victimized people

It's so awful about what Putin is doing. He is even lying about the reasons why they are bombing a peaceful country. He claims that Ukraine is the one to blame and that his attack on the country is for the benefit of its people. His lies in saying that there is no goal to occupy Ukraine and the responsibility for bloodshed lies with the Ukrainian "regime." But who struck the first attack?

If Putin makes these claims, why does he declare that no other country attempt to interfere with the Russian action? If he says the blame comes from Ukraine, then why should he assume that other countries would not help him given that he claims Ukraine is so dangerous? What proof does he have that Ukraine is the one on attack mode?

News clips show the terror and desperation of the citizens. I don't understand why some people are siding with Putin and listening to his limp excuses, i.e., he needs more farmland to feed his people.

Even though we have our political differences. surely we can at some point agree that there is need for morality, civility and empathy for a victimized people.
