Beware 'Phase 2'
Perhaps because I am not a geopolitical scholar, I am finding it hard to understand why Ukraine seems to be of such great importance to Russia. Apparently it's important enough that Russia will risk an expanded war not to mention guaranteed sanctions from many nations across the world.
To accept such costs, one would expect there to be some obvious resource benefits and or strategic location advantages. Frankly I don't see it as Ukraine doesn't even have an ocean port.
Hence, I fear it may just be the first step in a grand plan that Mr. Putin has in mind. If he isn't stopped now, Phase 2 of his scheme may be much more threatening to the entire world.
