Elgin Izaak Walton League donates to Friends of the Fox River

The Elgin Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America will be donating the second installment of $500 to the Friends of the Fox River.

The chapter voted to help support the Friends of the Fox by giving the organization $1,500.

Gary Swick, president and lead educator for the Friends of the Fox River, will be at the next chapter meeting on Tuesday to accept the donation.

The Elgin Ike's chapter was one of the original supporters of the Friends of the Fox. One of the main goals of the Izaak Walton League is to be an advocate for clean water and environmental issues.
