Applicants being sought for judicial vacancy in Lake County

The Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts is accepting applications to fill an associate judge post in Lake County that will become vacant when Judge Reginald C. Mathews becomes a full circuit court judge March 2.

Any U.S. citizen who is an attorney licensed to practice in Illinois and a resident of Lake County's 19th Judicial Circuit may apply by electronically filing a signed application available on the Illinois Supreme Court's website, www.illinoiscourts.gov.

All applications must be received by Thursday, March 19. The list of applicants will be submitted for polling to the Lake County Bar Association. Applicants will also be required to make themselves available for an interview and screening process with the circuit judges of the 19th Judicial Circuit.
