Motorcycle show coming to Pingree Grove

IMS Outdoors, formerly known as the Progressive International Motorcyle Show, is coming to Pingree Grove, Aug. 20-22.

The event's first visit to Goebbert's Farm is the second stop on the nine-city outdoor series. The show has toured the country for nearly 40 years, showcasing motorcycles and power sports. Because of the pandemic, the event has been restructured into an open outdoor experience with a festival-like atmosphere that promotes enthusiasts of all ages and levels to come together to better engage with products, each other, and the industry.

The show will feature balance bikes for kids as young as 3, electric bicycle demos and a specially constructed stationary experience that mounts a full power Harley-Davidson motorcycle to a stable platform.

A "new rider course," designed to initiate nonriders with a safe first experience on motorcycles, will be available this year. The Zero Motorcycles-sponsored course features electric motorcycles that do not require shifting. Experienced rider demos on new motorcycles and myriad vendors with gear and accessories for enthusiasts will also be available.

The event starts Friday, Aug. 20, at noon. Electronic tickets and more information are available at motorcycleshows.com/chicago.
