This is just one of a plethora of invasions

So Russia is attacking Ukraine. What does another invasion matter in a world aswarm with hordes of invaders?

Mexican peasants and drug smugglers clamber over the walls of our southern border every day, or straggle across river and desert on their way to our cities. Along with them trudge nameless and numberless East Asians and Africans and Central Americans, all without papers, driven by desperation, lured by hope and enticed by the promise of a Democratic Party ballot.

In the heartland of America, citizens themselves find their privacy invaded and their dignity trampled by lockdowns and mask and vaccination mandates. When they dare protest, they are vilified as "domestic terrorists," their livelihoods threatened and their reputations smeared in social media. What is government overreach but an unconstitutional intrusion by the elite into an erstwhile free land?

In a few days, multiple convoys of semitrailer trucks and family minivans will invade the banks of the Potomac to make their voices heard in a cacophony of honks. It remains to be seen whether this volume of noise can drown out the faltering and uncertain pronouncements of Joe Biden.

China, not content with releasing a cloud of coronavirus upon the planet, will soon unleash a spring offensive upon Taiwan. Even now China's warplanes and socialist eyes pierce the air space above its smaller, democratic neighbor.

Would any of these invasions be occurring if America were indeed great again, as she appeared to be in 2020, before the counting stopped in the battleground states?

Ask Putin. Ask Xi. Ask DHS. Ask Fauci. Ask not, Liberty, for whom the bell tolls.

It tolls for thee.
