Buffalo Grove, Cook County planning Lake-Cook Road upgrades

Buffalo Grove and the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways are teaming to begin planning and preliminary engineering for improvements to Lake-Cook Road between Arlington Heights Road and Raupp Boulevard.
The project will include pavement reconstruction and a reconfigured intersection at Arlington Heights Road. designed to create more efficient mobility for all users along the corridor.
Engineers also will evaluate multiple possible improvements to the corridor and intersecting roadways to accommodate future traffic needs, reduce congestion and expand transit access.
The county is providing $500,000 in funding for the project.
