Turkey and Much More Raffle' will help brighten holidays for veterans

The Fox River-Geneva American Legion Post 75 will hold its annual "Turkey and Much More Raffle" beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at the post hall, Second and James streets in downtown Geneva.

This annual event has grown into one of the most successful and fun raffle events in the Geneva area. Win a gift certificate to fine dining, landscaping services, beauty salons, shopping certificates and of course, turkeys being raffled off the entire evening.

Enjoy hot dogs, chili and the thrill of being a winner. A cash bar will be open with mixed drinks, beer, wine and soft drinks.

A master of ceremonies, assistant and "guest spinners" give the wheel a workout throughout the evening, and every spin produces a winner.

All proceeds go to local student scholarships and making the holidays brighter for veterans, and most importantly those that are hospitalized at this time of year, by providing gifts and much needed necessities.
