Girls soccer: Majewski's 2 goals spark Burlington Central
Burlington Central's Megan Majewski was a big factor for the Rockets girls soccer team Monday during a 4-0 shutout over Woodstock North in Kishwaukee River action.
On Rocket Hill, Majewski totaled 2 goals and 1 assist while Sydney Pryor and Krysten Pellikan also added goals.
The win helped the Rockets, who opened up the season with a loss, improve to 7-1-1 overall and 2-0 in conference. Alyssa Mariani tallied an assist and keepers Erin Rafferty and Abbi Ciganek (1 save) split time in net to keep the Thunder off the board.
Larkin 4, Hononegah 1: In nonconference action at Memorial Field in Elgin, the Royals (7-2) made it seven-straight behind Stephanie Nunez and Elizabeth Baeza, who each scored 2 goals.
