Pumpkin composting event Saturday in Libertyville

The Libertyville Sustainability Commission with the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County and Groot Industries will host a one-day pumpkin composting event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 2, in the Adler Park pool parking lot, 1500 N. Milwaukee Ave.

A large container will be available to dispose of pumpkins, squashes and gourds. All candles, yarn, plastic or other decorations/non-organic material must be removed before drop off.
