Woodland Intermediate Students Present Musical Performance Feb. 28 and March 1
Gurnee--Woodland Intermediate School's fourth and fifth grade students will be proudly performing "Madagascar Jr.," the musical on February 28 and March 1 in the multi-purpose room at the Intermediate School, 1115 N. Hunt Club Road, Gurnee.
The musical was written by Kevin Del Aguila and original music and lyrics is by George Noriega and Joel Someillan. Join Marty, the zebra, as he dreams to escape New York Central's Zoo to be out in the wild. His three best friends, Alex, Gloria and Melman go out to find him and try to bring him home. They quickly find themselves in Madagascar with hilarious penguins, lemurs and lions. Join us for a fun night of wild adventures.
The show is directed by Andrea Little and Bridget Hengels, assisted by Amy Werner and April Cooksey, along with an amazing student crew.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and admission is free for students 12 and younger. All proceeds from ticket sales and an intermission bake sale will be donated to the Intermediate Drama Fund.
