Schaumburg High School students, superintendent star in music video

Not everything that happens in Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 becomes a federal case.

Today's students still just want a day off in the middle of winter every once in a while, just like their parents and grandparents did.

But the superintendent who makes those decisions each morning based on the weather still maintains higher criteria for canceling classes than the students might wish.

A group of Schaumburg High School students and District 211 Superintendent Dan Cates found the humor in this scenario by teaming up for a new music video - "I Want a Cold Day" - set to the tune of a Backstreet Boys song about as old as the students themselves.
