Hoffman Estates announces administrative moves

Hoffman Estates officials have announced two changes within the village manager's office, including the appointment of Deputy Village Manager Dan O'Malley to assume oversight of the NOW Arena operations and the Village Green at Prairie Stone Business Park.

"Dan O'Malley has a proven track record in municipal government, including over 20 years of experience with the village," Village Manager Eric Palm said in the announcement. "He was a natural fit to assume the owner's representative responsibilities for the NOW Arena. Working with our partners at Spectra and Levy, I am excited for Dan to take on this new role."

The change is effective Jan. 1.

Additionally, Suzanne Ostrovsky has been promoted to assistant village manager and is taking on several new responsibilities, including management of the village's communications team, information technology,

and geographic information systems (GIS). Her promotion was effective Oct. 1.

v"Suzanne Ostrovsky has been an exceptional employee over the past five years with the Village and is ready to take on these new challenges and responsibilities," Palm said.
