Lake County Fair honored by international group

The Lake County Fair Association has received three Hall of Honor Communications awards from the International Association of Fairs & Expositions for the 2018 fair held July 25-29 in Grayslake. Organizers say the competition is designed to improve the advertising and publicity programs of fairs, and to recognize those who are doing an outstanding job. The Lake County Fair Association received first place in two divisions - Printed Promotional Materials, for its 2018 brochure, and Miscellaneous Use of Technology to Promote Fair/Event, for its promotional video. The association also received third place in Social Media/Mobile Campaign for its July 2018 Facebook and SnapChat promotional series. The IAFE Hall of Honor Communications Awards features 20 categories, divided into five divisions. Plaques for each division were awarded to first place winners during the recent IAFE Annual Convention in San Antonio.
