Gurnee Fire Department hosting children's book drive

The Gurnee Fire Department is participating in a book drive on behalf of Bernie's Book Bank, a Lake Bluff-based organization that distributes new and gently used books to at-risk youth across the Chicago region.

Books for children from infants to through sixth grade can be dropped off at Fire Station 1, 4850 Old Grand Ave.

The book drive will conclude on May 5.
