Grayslake summer swim options now available
The Esper A. Petersen Foundation Family Aquatic Center in Grayslake is committed to bringing back summer in 2016, offering $20 off the cost of pool membership to those who register before May 1.
Individuals who sign up before the deadline will receive Lake County's lowest membership rate of $65 per individual, for the whole summer. After May 1, the rate will be $85 – still one of the very lowest in the county. Rates are the same for Grayslake residents and non-residents.
The aquatic center, located at 250 Library Lane in Grayslake, is open everyday throughout the summer, from noon to 8 p.m. Pool amenities include the zero-depth beach, water play features, climbing wall, sand play area, two slides, and more. The concessions stand will feature healthy options, such as apple slices and organic milk, alongside traditional concessions fare.
Aquatic center members receive discounts on swim classes, which also are open for registration. Members get $25 off group swim lessons, and $10 off private swim lessons. Classes are held in the morning, seven days a week, and include the following:
• Parent & Tot class (ages 6 to 24 months)
• Waterbugs class (ages 3 to 5)
• Swim School (ages 5 to 12)
• Semi-Private class (up to 3 participants)
• Private class (1-on-1)
Additional benefits of membership include unlimited access to the pool during open hours, $2 discount off daily admission for guests, $25 off party reservations, $50 off facility rentals, and a V.I.Petersen Membership for summer-long savings at area businesses.
Registration for pool memberships and swim classes can be secured at www.villageofgrayslake.com/fun or by calling (847) 223-POOL.
