Benefitexpress names three executives, unveils new website

SCHAUMBURG - Employee benefits and health exchange services company benefitexpress has made a number of changes as a result of its recent acquisition of benefitsCONNECT, including the appointment of three people to its executive team, as well as a new brand and website.

The company appointed Scott Evans as chief product officer. Evans will spearhead an aggressive product strategy to drive market-based product decisions, focusing on client needs, and will represent the market in product design and positioning.

"Given his previous position as the COO of benefitsCONNECT, Scott is uniquely qualified and committed to the growth of all products within our business" said benefitexpress CEO Michael Sternklar. "Scott will work closely with all stakeholders to innovate market-leading solutions and implement new offerings to serve our clients."

Gina Ortiz was also named director of product strategy. Ortiz has experience in the strategic execution of product architecture, coupled with an understanding of technology, which will impact product development. It is a critical role as benefitexpress accelerates product expansion to meet market needs.

Korrie Bird has been appointed chief human resources officer, where she will expand her current role as benefitCONNECT's head of HR and identify a best approach to continue to drive an exceptional corporate culture.

"We have united the most seasoned, talented and experienced professionals to serve our clients. Our ultimate objective is to become a destination for top industry talent."

Benefitexpress also launched its new corporate website. The site features a new logo, refreshed color palate, expanded service offerings, and unveils a new vision statement; 'benefit wise. relationship driven.'

"Our new brand is unique because it truly reflects who we are as an organization; a company of people, focused

on your people" said Chief Marketing Officer Monica Hinchey. "The brand introduces our hybrid approach to

this business. We call it Human Administration, and it's the delivery of a highly personal benefit experience

with the trust it's done right."
