Illinois must stop its reckless spending
We still have bills outstanding, a huge unfunded pension liability and an unending desire on the part of Illinois leadership to spend more than we take in. We'll see in the coming months if our last minute 2022 "balanced" budget is based on reality.
Continuing to raise taxes will not get us out of the hole we are in. The voters said that last year. So what if our rich uncle is going to give us a bunch of money? Our improved credit rating simply means we can continue to borrow recklessly.
