Fire at St. Charles business

A paper compactor caught on fire inside a business on the 1700 block of Wallace Avenue, St. Charles, around 9:03 p.m. Monday. The fire was contained to the machine. One worker received a medical evaluation at the scene, according to the St. Charles Fire Department. Damage to the business was estimated at $1,000.
