Letter: Not a hate crime?

I've just finished reading the May 25 article "Arlington Heights woman charged in shrine arson." The article states that "investigators have not yet established a motive for the suspected arson."

Surely, had this attack been carried out at a Synagogue, Temple, or Mosque there'd be talk of it being a hate crime?
