Meeting on Catholic parishes

A meeting regarding the configuration of Catholic parishes in northern Lake County will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 40000 Route 45, Old Mill Creek. Bishop George Rassas representing the Archdiocese of Chicago will discuss Cardinal Blase Cupich's vision for four Catholic churches: St. Rafael; St. Peter in Antioch; Prince of Peace in Lake Villa; and, St. Bede in Ingleside. The effort is part of the Renew My Church initiative with groupings of parishes to determine "how they will achieve the goal of having vibrant, life-giving faith communities accessible to all Catholics," according to the Archdiocese.
