Facts on help for homeless

In answer to Mr. Buechel's letter to the "Your Views" column of Nov. 29, I would like to say, "Check the facts."

Gov. Pritzker's budget for Illinois homeless is "approximately $360 million for the initiative, an increase of $85.3 Million from 2023. $118 Million is earmarked to support Illinois unhoused seeking shelter and services, including $40.7 Million in the Emergency and Transitional Housing Program."
