Holy Family Parish to Present Passion Play on Good Friday

A 20+ year tradition continues on Friday, April 19 at Holy Family Parish, Inverness, with the presentation of a Passion Play as the centerpiece of its Good Friday services. This year, the story is told through the eyes of a Roman Centurion.

Each year, Holy Family gathers teens from around the Northwest suburbs to portray Christ's Passion through drama, video and song. "I grew up always involved with the church, so being part of producing the Passion of Jesus Christ is very special and dear to me," says Hersey High School Freshman, Sean Cunningham.

The 43-member cast and crew come from ten different schools and have practiced weekly since January. "It is truly a blessing to share this amazing story with the community and help them see Christ's life in a new way," says Fremd High School Junior, Denise Carlson.

All are welcome to attend "The Centurion's Tale: A Passion Play" on Friday, April 19. There is no charge for admission. It will be performed during the noon, 3:00 pm and 7:30 pm services at Holy Family Parish, 2515 Palatine Rd., Inverness, 847-907-3400.
