More rides for kids, beer for adults at Hampshire's Coon Creek Country Days
Perfect weather greeted Hampshire's Coon Creek Country Days Saturday. The four-day festival continues Sunday, when one of the highlights will be the noontime parade.
This year's festival also includes more rides for kids in the 11- to 15-year-old age range and more selections of beer, among changes made in response to a survey.
It's in a new location as Bruce Ream Park is under construction. Many of the events are being held along downtown's State Street, near Allen Road. Coon Creek Country Days can attract as many as 15,000 people during its run. A list of events is at hcccd.com.
