Auditions for classic comedy

Auditions for the classic dark comedy "Arsenic and Old Lace" will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 29 and 30 at the PM&L Theatre, 877 Main St., Antioch. Three women and 11 men of varying ages will be cast. The audition is a cold reading from the script and would-be actors are asked to refrain from watching the movie. Those interested should arrive early to complete an audition form and be prepared to stay for the entire time. Rehearsals will begin with a read-through Sept. 6 and continue for three or four days a week. Performance dates will be Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays in late October through Nov. 13.
