Hoffman Estates holding Egg Decorating Contest

The Hoffman Estates Arts Commission is holding its first Egg Decorating Contest, with gift cards ranging from $10 to $50 awarded to the top finishers.

Eggs submitted to the contest, which is sponsored by Morizzo Funeral Home in Hoffman Estates, will be judged by the village's Arts and Senior Citizens commissions.

The contest is open only to Hoffman Estates residents. A registration form must accompany the eggs when they are delivered to village hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Forms can be downloaded at hoffmanestatesarts.com.

Eggs can be delivered on one of three dates: Monday, March 28, from 3 to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, March 29, from 9 a.m. to noon; and Wednesday, March 30, before 5 p.m.

Eggs will be on display March 28 to April 11 at village hall. Winners will be announced the week of April 11.
