Estrada's no-hit bid broken up by Red Sox in 8th

BOSTON (AP) - Chris Young has homered with one out in the eighth inning for the first hit by the Boston Red Sox against Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Marco Estrada.

It's the third time in a year that Estrada had a no-hit bid broken up in the eighth.

The right-hander walked three, struck out four and retired 19 straight before Young homered over the Green Monster in left field.

The Blue Jays lead 5-1.

The Red Sox haven't been held hitless at Fenway Park since Detroit's Jim Bunning did it on July 20, 1958.

Estrada walked the first two batters he faced before Xander Bogaerts bunted into a forceout. Estrada walked Hanley Ramirez leading off the second.

Right fielder Jose Bautista made a running grab on Ramirez's drive to end the seventh. Center fielder Kevin Pillar made a nice over-the-shoulder catch on Travis Shaw's deep drive in the fourth.

Last June, Estrada took no-hit bids into the eighth inning in consecutive starts before they were broken up.
