Trustmark Recognizes Veterans Day with Flag Raising Ceremony in Lake Forest

To recognize Veterans Day, Trustmark's Diversity and Inclusion Council invited associates based in the Lake Forest headquarters to attend a special flag-raising ceremony on Tuesday.

Bill Gould, Trustmark's President and Chief Operating Officer, welcomed Trustmark associates and some neighbors from the Conway Park office park with introductory remarks.

As a company, Trustmark has a long history of supporting veterans causes and hiring Veterans. This year, Trustmark will be giving associates who are Veterans a Trustmark-branded Challenge Coin in honor of their service. A Challenge Coin, an American military tradition for more than a century, instills pride and loyalty and rewards hard work and excellence.

The co-champions for Trustmark's recognition of Veterans Day were Bill Hines, Executive Director, Project and Program Management, and Mike Grimsley, Senior Wellness and Productivity Advisor.

"Raising the flag is a powerful way to show respect for those have served our country," said Hines, a Veteran of the Marine Corps. "Raising it is a shared moment that connects everyone who has served, no matter when or where. Veterans Day reminds us that there are things bigger than our individual viewpoints - like the freedom and safety we all value."
