Kenway Consulting Raises $33,000 for ALIVE Rescue during 10th Annual Charity Golf Outing

Kenway Consulting announced today that as a result of fundraising efforts conducted during its 2019 Charity Golf Outing, it raised $33,000 for ALIVE Rescue, an animal rescue that saves, rehabilitates and places abandoned, abused and stray animals. ALIVE Rescue has been the beneficiary of Kenway's annual fundraising event for the past four years, during which time the company has raised more than $130,000 for the Chicago-based non-profit.

"ALIVE Rescue has seen an increase in animals requiring major medical care over the last several months. We never want to turn animals away who truly need us," said Kristen Gerali, ALIVE Rescue's founder and president. "Thanks to this generous donation from Kenway Consulting, we don't have to. Dogs, cats and rabbits who are in need of emergency care, surgery and long-term rehabilitation have a home at ALIVE Rescue."

Kenway's 10th annual event was held on Friday, Aug. 23, at the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in Hoffman Estates. In addition to the day's signature scramble, festivities included lunch and buffet dinner; a live raffle with $12,500 in cash prizes and merchandise ranging from hotel stays and in-home wine parties, to restaurant and entertainment gift certificates; and a back-by-popular-demand Puppy Kissing Booth, featuring five of ALIVE Rescue's adoptable pups.

"At its core, Kenway exists to help organizations in need. We're honored to help such an extraordinary charity make a significant difference in the lives of animals for four years running," said Brian King, Kenway Consulting's president and CEO. "On behalf of everyone at Kenway, I want to extend a sincere thank you to our sponsors, golfers, donors, raffle purchasers and all who supported this year's event. I'd also like to thank Kristen Gerali and all the ALIVE Rescue volunteers for their ongoing partnership, and Tyler Hanson, Collin Pfaff, Kristen Wannemaker, Irene Martinez and all the other Kenway volunteers who helped organize such a successful day. None of this would have been possible without their tireless efforts."

ALIVE Rescue believes every animal has the right to a well-balanced, socialized and fulfilled life, and provides medical, behavioral and physical support for animals despite their age, health and/or breed. The organization promotes sustainable living and care-giving within communities by building awareness, appreciation and respect for all animals and the environment.
