Buffalo Grove promotes two within leadership team
Buffalo Grove announced two promotions within its leadership team Monday.
Public Works Director Mike Skibbe has been elevated to deputy village manager and will now oversee police services, golf operations and the administrative functions in the village manager's office, in addition to public works.
Nicole Woods, a village employee since 2015, has been promoted to community development director. In that role, she will lead the village's planning, zoning, building permitting, inspections, environmental health and economic development functions.
Skibbe has served in engineering, administrative and operations roles during his 22 years with the village. He has worked on projects such as the village's $175 million infrastructure modernization program and the emerald ash borer reforestation program.
Chris Stilling, who had been serving in the dual role of community development director and deputy village manager, will now serve as the full-time deputy village manager, a position that has been vacant since Jennifer Maltas stepped down in August.
"We are excited to see these young professionals continue to advance in their careers and in our organization," Village Manager Dane Bragg said in Monday's announcement. "We are excited to see how each of their roles will contribute to the progress yet to come on major village initiatives including the Town Center redevelopment, enhanced communications and infrastructure management."
