New Prospect High pool on schedule for fall opening

Northwest Suburban High School District 214 officials say construction is on track for the new swimming pool at Prospect High School. Yesterday, large HVAC units were delivered to the job site, with the heaviest unit weighing 15,000 pounds. College of DuPage trustees vote to hire in-house attorney

College of DuPage trustees decided last night to hire an in-house attorney later this year to provide on-the-spot legal advice and save the school money on controversial legal fees. The board voted 4-2 to approve the creation of an "office of general counsel" by July 1 on the Glen Ellyn campus. Full story.

Report: McDonald's contemplating move out of Oak Brook again

McDonald's, headquartered in Oak Brook, is again pursuing offices in Chicago, Crain's Chicago Business is reporting. The fast-food giant is only beginning to interview office tenant brokers, Crain's says, citing anonymous sources. But the report says McDonald's CEO Steve Easterbrook has informed employees the company is exploring all options as potential alternatives to its aging Oak Brook campus. Full story.

Police: Three St. Charles racist-vandalism suspects confessed

Three teens accused of a vandalism spree at a St. Charles Park District office last December have confessed to that and other crimes, according to a police affidavit used to secure a search warrant for one of the teen's phones. Full story.
