Hoffman Estates man pleads guilty to battery

A 21-year-old Hoffman Estates man pleaded guilty to battery in exchange for probation.
Jose Leon-Galvin was sentenced to 24 months' probation Tuesday and ordered to pay $709 in fines in exchange for pleading guilty to aggravated battery in a public place, court records show.
Prosecutors said Leon-Galvin pushed and struck a 15-year-old girl last summer. They said he told police he and the girl had been dating for nine months.
