Injured Blake Griffin to visit doctor next week
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin is rehabbing his torn left quadriceps and will visit a doctor next week.
Coach Doc Rivers said Saturday that Griffin is doing work in the pool and the team should have a better idea how much longer he'll be out after the doctor visit.
Griffin has been expected to miss at least two weeks since he got hurt in the team's win over the Lakers on Christmas.
He is the Clippers' leading scorer with 23.2 points per game. He also averages 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists.
The Clippers had won four straight since losing Griffin going into Saturday night's game against Philadelphia.
