Letter: Amendment will provide stability

The proposed constitutional amendment at the top of our ballot has been widely advertised. Despite the claims of the political parties, it is not new law and all the laws involved are already on the books. The vote is simply to add them to the state Constitution, giving them stability rather being at the whim of the party in power. Your "yes" vote will help stabilize the state of Illinois.
