Lake forest preserve hosts open house for volunteers

The Lake County Forest Preserve District will host a volunteer open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at its general offices, 1899 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville.

The district has a variety of volunteer opportunities indoors and outdoors. Current volunteers will explain the types of positions available for individuals and groups.

No experience is needed and training is provided for all positions. Last year, volunteers donated 36,000 hours for the district.
