A closer look at qualifications

A reader commented that he was tired of Democrats whining and crying that Donald Trump was unqualified to be president.

He pointed out that both Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan were equally unqualified, as one was a soldier and the other an actor.

Eisenhower worked at many levels of the military over several decades before becoming Supreme Allied Commander for the European Theatre during World War II. He commanded hundreds of thousands of troops and successfully held together a coalition of countries to defeat Nazi Germany.

Reagan was an actor who became the head of the Screen Actor's Guild and went on to become governor of California for eight years.

That's not whining and crying, that's just the facts. Those gentlemen are two more reasons how unqualified Mr. Trump is to be president
