Glenbard Parent Series speaker to discuss 'Everyday Leadership'

The Glenbard Parent Series presents "Everyday Leadership: Celebrating the Simple Acts that Improve Each Others Lives" with author Drew Dudley at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn.

Dudley is a world-class storyteller who discusses leadership in a practical, humorous and hopeful way to create cultures of everyday leadership. He argues that we too often make leadership into something beyond us, reserved for the extraordinary or a select few. He believes there is a form of leadership that everyone is capable of. At the Feb. 22 event, Dudley will offer practical insights into how to overcome the barriers to develop the leadership that lies within our families, our communities and us.

Dudley's popular TED talk calls these everyday acts "Lollipop Moments" - a concept that represents transformative moments of powerful impact and growth.

Students and parents are encouraged to attend the free talk. For information, visit glenbardgps.org or contact Gilda Ross, Glenbard District 87 student and community projects coordinator, at (630) 942-7668 or gilda_ross@glenbard.org.
