Naperville man critically injured in Kane County crash
A Naperville man suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash Sunday night in unincorporated Kane County, police said.
Kane County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the crash at 8:30 p.m. Sunday that happened on Hughes Road west of Bunker Road in an unincorporated area near Blackberry Township, Kane County officials said in a news release.
Police say a 1996 Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by Keith Carlson, 55, was traveling east on Hughes Road when it drove onto the shoulder of Hughes Road, then crossed over both lanes and drove up an embankment on the north side of the road and flipped over.
Carlson was taken to Delnor Hospital and then flown to Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove with potentially life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation. Police have not determined whether drugs, alcohol, speed or texting played a role in this crash.
