Next Lake County Walking in Nature set for Saturday
The Lake County Forest Preserve District's next walking in nature event is set for 4 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday April 29, at Nippersink Forest Preserve, at Route 120 west of Cedar Lake Road near Round Lake.
The program joins naturalists and health care providers for guided walking tours of Lake County's forest preserves. The walk is free, open to the public, and requires no registration.
Participants can speak with a NorthShore University Health System physician about the benefits of walking and learn about the environment from a forest preserve naturalist. Anyone 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult. Walks range in length from one to two miles.
