Wheeling officials could approve apartment complex plan Monday

The Wheeling village board will meet Monday night to discuss a plan for a 53-unit apartment complex at 231 Wheeling Road, as well as other business.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at village hall, 2 Community Blvd. It also can be viewed live at youtube.com/c/wheelingiltv.

The board could approve a special use permit for the proposed development, which is to be called Union Apartments. A four-story, L-shaped building on vacant land near Wheeling's Metra station has been proposed.
