Letter: Shameful raises

Only in America. Let us vote ourselves a 16% raise. Wouldn't it be wonderful if senior citizens could vote themselves a raise like that? We got 8.7%. Even people in the private sector can't vote themselves a raise, but 16%? Politicians work for themselves not for the people who elect them.
