OK to bring booze to North Aurora fireworks show
You can bring a beer to the July 3 fireworks show in North Aurora this year.
The village board Monday added the show to the list of events at Riverfront Park where alcohol can be consumed.
Alcohol has been allowed at village-authorized events such as the "Rhythm on the Riverfront" concert series.
However, patrons should not expect to just walk on down to the park with an open cup from home. That's prohibited. The beverages must be sealed when off park property.
The Independence Day-related celebration will take place from 6 to 10:30 p.m.
The village sponsors the show.
