Trump not the author of racism
In the Oct. 3 edition of letters to the Daily Herald, Robert Frankel asks, "When did it become acceptable to express hatred of those with a different color, religion, or ethnicity?" The answer, of course, is Dec. 15, 1791, when the Bill of Rights (the first 10 amendments to the Constitution) were ratified, giving us the right to publicly demean whomsoever we want.
Mr. Frankel places the blame for people publicly making known their ignorance and hatred of those of different heritages on the candidacy of Donald Trump. How puerile. Place the blame where it belongs, on the immature and ignorant evil bias that resides in many who choose to take advantage of the legal right to expose their true character to the world.
It's OK to be a Trump hater. but don't assign all the evils of the world to him.
