Inspyr Studios to host fundraiser in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Inspyr Studios, a boutique cycle, strength and restorative fitness studio, is partnering with the Amita Health Cancer Institute to raise funds for The Mary R. Faraci Boutique, which provides hair replacement, post-surgical garments and prosthesis for women who are unable to obtain such products via insurance.

Inspyr will host its InspYring Awareness at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 and 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at the studio, 2924 W. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights. Saturday's outdoor fundraiser will feature Inspyr's signature Crossover class: A 60-minute half strength, half Pilates hybrid workout. Sunday's fundraiser will feature an outdoor cycling workout. Both classes will follow the Illinois CDC social distancing guidelines.

Raising money for the boutique is a cause that is near and dear to Inspyr coach Joe Faraci, having lost his mom to breast cancer. He wanted to do something to help women fighting through this devastating disease.

"I'm very excited about hosting this event through Inspyr Studios. This is not just a way to honor my mom but to support these beautiful women fighting through breast cancer. My mom's vision was to allow women to feel beautiful outside and in. This boutique gives these women that opportunity."

Faraci reached out to the AMITA Health Cancer Institute in Elk Grove Village about partnering to raise funds for the boutique. The boutique is funded by philanthropy and each gift supports their mission to make challenging times easier for women undergoing cancer treatment.

"Being diagnosed with cancer should never stop anyone from feeling beautiful, confident and strong. The Mary R. Faraci Boutique provides private consultations for wig options as well as post-surgical garments, prosthesis options, massage, energy therapy and more. Hundreds of patients take advantage of these complimentary services each year, which provide them the confidence and strength they need to fight cancer and make it through their treatment," said Chad Linzy, development director for AMITA Health, Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village.

Brighton Woodfield and Deer Park stores will be present both days selling jewelry to support breast cancer research. In addition, $10 of each sale will go directly to the boutique.

"Every Brighton store creates a partnership with a local organization to support Breast Cancer. Both the Deer Park and Woodfield Brighton stores are excited to support the Mary R. Faraci Cancer Boutique to help those going through breast cancer, as well as other cancers. We immediately connected with the Faraci family once we met them! We love knowing that the funds we raise will help support those in need in our own community," said Amy Kaplan, store manager, Brighton Deer Park.

The classes are open to the public with a minimum $20 donation required to attend. After class Inspyr will have food and drinks donated by Tony's Fresh Market as a way to say "thank you" to all those who attend.

Managing Partner Amy Winter is excited to be hosting this fundraiser.

"My hope is that our fundraiser raises enough money to help The Mary R. Faraci Boutique, with their mission to help women who are undergoing cancer treatment," Winter said. "We are happy to be able to help in any way that we can. I am excited because this fundraiser is gaining momentum. We will have sweatshirts, jewelry and hats for sale, food, drinks and much more. It's going to be a great weekend for a great cause."

All are welcome to stop by for food and to donate without having to attend the classes. Sweatshirts and hats are currently available for sale at the studio.
