Letter: State is hostage to unions

As Illinois continues to be one of the worst states in which to live in multiple categories. As taxes are the highest in state history. As inflation and gas prices are roaring and the middle and lower class are being bludgeoned with disposable income and savings evaporating. One thing can be counted on - the state employee unions holding the people hostage until they get they 15% to 20% pay increases so they can continue their mediocre performance and fail the public they have sworn to serve.
